Walcott Resources begins field work at the Tyr Silver Project in Australia

Walcott Resources Ltd (CSE:WAL) (OTCMKTS:WALRF) (FRA:WR2) announced that it has commenced field work at its 60% owned Tyr Silver Project located in New South Wales, Australia.
The company said geological consultants Xplore Resources will conduct the field program, which will involve reviewing and verifying the previously-reported geological data, preliminary rock chip sampling, field reporting, as well as stakeholder communications.
Current efforts will focus on generating potential targets for drill testing subject to site visit verification.

The Tyr Silver Project, which consists of nearly 300 square kilometres, contains two historic silver mines, Burra and Torny, which were last operational between 1920 and 1935. The project is thought to have potential for high-grade silver zinc-lead-tin mineralization.
Historic records show that mineralisation at the Torny Silver Mine may extend over a 600-metres strike extent and be open at depth, while fieldwork done in 2013 at the Burra Silver Mine identified new potential targets for drill testing that has yet to be carried out.
Previous work on the property suggests the polymetallic veins may range in width from about 0.5 metres to 2.5 metres.
The Tyr tenement, or property ownership rights, was granted in March 2018 and is due for renewal in March 2024. The project is located approximately 20kms southwest of the town of Tenterfield and is accessible via paved road.
Walcott also owns a 60% interest in Australia’s Century South Silver-Zinc Project, in the Mt Isa Basin of northwest Queensland, situated about 8 kilometres southeast and along strike of the New Century Zinc Mine, one of the world’s largest silver-zinc mines.
In addition, Walcott Resources holds an option to acquire a 100% interest, subject to a 1.5% NSR, in the Cobalt Hill Copper-Gold-Cobalt Project, consisting of eight mineral claims and covering about 1,727 hectares in British Columbia, Canada.
