Coca-Cola HBC AG (LON:CCH) has said its chief financial officer, Michalis Imellos, will step down at the end of the first quarter of 2021 after eight years in the role.
The FTSE 100 soft drink bottler said Imellos will remain in the role until a successor is appointed and will then stay on during a transition period.
In the last eight years as group CFO, Michalis has been instrumental in shaping and implementing key strategic decisions and initiatives that successfully navigated Coca-Cola HBC through periods of challenge and growth, while building a robust balance sheet and a strong team. I am grateful for his support and partnership since my taking over as CEO and I am pleased that he will remain with the company to ensure a smooth transition”, said the company’s chief executive Zoran Bogdanovic.
Imellos added: “It has been a privilege to be part of the Coca-Cola HBC success for the past 12 years. I am grateful to the talented people I worked with and proud of our achievements throughout these years. I am committed to facilitating a handover and transition that will ensure that Coca-Cola HBC continues to capture the exciting opportunities ahead, from a position of strength.”
The company said it is considering both internal and external candidates for the CFO position and an announcement will be made in due course.
The firm’s shares dipped 0.2% to 2,112p in mid-morning trading on Thursday.
